Oregon natives, river otters are smart, scrappy, and full of joy. They thrive on collaboration, and navigate challenges with grit and creativity. As a mascot, they bring both spirit and substance: they are playful, a little goofy, and undeniably cute, but they are also deeply committed to teamwork and fierce when needed. Faculty, staff, and students all identify with the river otter’s commitment, nonconformity, and optimism.
