Lina Masenga ’28 (She/Her)

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

My name is Lina Masenga, and I am a sophomore majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology with a minor in Neuroscience. I am an international student from Tanzania, I previously attended UWC East Africa, where I had a deeply meaningful experience being part of a diverse community. I am passionate about pursuing a career in medicine and making a meaningful impact in people’s lives. I have been involved in service and leadership initiatives such as organizing blood drives, leading mental health workshops for teenagers, and volunteering in hospital settings where I worked closely with children through activities like reading, painting, and games.. I also serve as a social media and outreach coordinator for the Pre-health professions club here on campus, where I help connect students with valuable resources and promote events. Outside of academics, I enjoy dancing, reading novels, and doing outdoor activities. I also love travelling, visiting Sweden was a particularly meaningful experience that broadened my perspective. I look forward to continuing to explore diverse cultures and communities.
