Evelyn Gore

Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and Theatre double major

For the last 3 years Evelyn has worked as a teaching assistant in upper division laboratory biology, and chemistry classes and been a part of many student-produced campus productions.

She plans to pursue a career as a physician, hoping to be a strong patient advocate while also creating a theatre company to collect stories from patients, doctors, and other healthcare workers.

Thesis Title: “This is Exactly What the Doctor Ordered: An Integration of Applied Theatre into the Practice of Medicine to Humanize Healthcare”

Finding an intersection between the two fields of medicine and theatre leads me  to propose an integration of theatre into the practice of medicine to humanize healthcare.

Evelyn presented her thesis at the Festival of Scholars and Artists, a beloved annual Lewis & Clark tradition, where our community dedicates a full day to celebrate our students and their exceptional work: their research, their creative accomplishments, and their achievements.

While presenting at FOSA this year, Evelyn learned how much incredible student work and research is going on campus!
