Eliana Bly

She is currently employed as a Treatment Assistant at a drug and alcohol recovery center with Central City Concern, and Eliana would also like to continue working in Emergency Medical Services, as well as conduct public health research.

Thesis title:“Peso Pesado: Body Image, Diet Culture, and Disordered Eating in Chile.” 

By dissociating weight with personal actions and understanding that weight is not synonymous with health, we can all improve our relationships with our bodies and food, and by acknowledging harmful biases towards obese individuals, reduce the harm of weight discrimination.

Eliana presented her thesis at the Festival of Scholars and Artists is a beloved annual Lewis & Clark tradition, where our community dedicates a full day to celebrate our students and their exceptional work: their research, their creative accomplishments, and their achievements.
