I grew up in Mendocino County, California, a very tiny part of the world that makes you pay attention to the world around you. I’m a Biology sophomore at Lewis & Clark, and I’m drawn to biotech because it sits right at the edge of what’s possible. I want to be part of building things that didn’t exist before, whether that’s through the business side or learning to tell the story of science in a way that actually lands with people. Outside of class I’m in the Investment Club, out on trails with College Outdoors, and volunteering in conservation whenever I can. I do jiu-jitsu, climb, play soccer, and just picked up drumming, which honestly feels inevitable given that music has always been the one thing I’ll talk about with anyone, anywhere, at any time. I’m a hobby connoisseur, give me good art and a great conversation, and I’m always more interested in the people in the room than anything else. I love making connections and I genuinely believe the best ideas come from talking to people who think differently than you do.
