Transportation

Recognizing the threat of global climate change and its potential to impact human and non-human animals alike, we provided public transportation information below to help you get around Portland “carbon-lite.”

Airport to Hotel

It takes approximately 45 minutes by MAX light rail train to travel from the airport to downtown Portland and the Paramount Hotel. From the airport baggage claim area, look for signs for “Light Rail Tickets.” You can purchase a MAX train ticket ($2.35 to downtown) and get information about the train schedule in the airport lobby. The train runs approximately every 15 minutes to and from the airport.

To travel downtown from the airport, catch the MAX Red Line towards “City Center & Beaverton TC.”  Exit the train at the Pioneer Square North stop which is located at SW Broadway and SW Morrison in downtown Portland. To get to the Paramount Hotel from that stop, walk along SW Broadway towards SW Yamhill Street. Turn right onto SW Taylor Street (one past SW Yamhill) and walk up one block to SW Park Avenue.  The Paramount Hotel will be located on the left-hand side of the street at the corner of SW Taylor and SW Park.
