  • Description: This course will examine the legal doctrine of data privacy in relation to an individual’s right to privacy and data protection concepts including confidentiality, information security and privacy by design. This course will also explore privacy law developments around the globe with an emphasis on the application of data privacy and security practices to business including the impacts to marketing, product development, engineering, governance risk and compliance, and vendor management particularly in the context of emerging technologies and novel uses of data.
