Overview

To commemorate the retirements of Professor (and former Dean) Jim Huffman and Professor (and former AssociateJim Huffman Profile Color Dean) Janet Neuman, Lewis & Clark Law School and Environmental Law are holding a symposium on water law and its future.

Panelists include nine distinguished water law scholars from throughout the country. The participants will discuss topics as divergent as the convergence of Eastern and Western water law, water rights and changing ecological conditions, takings and riparian water rights, watershed governance and coastal zone management, climate change and water law, and the Oregon public trust doctrine. Lawyers, students, and the public are invited to attend the event at the law school on October 7.

Program has applied for full-day MCLE credits in Oregon and Washington.
