U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy visited Lewis & Clark Law School this month to introduce the inaugural speaker in the annual Anthony Kennedy lecture series. Conceived during Justice Kennedy’s visit to the law school a year ago, the first Anthony Kennedy lecture was part of an institution-wide celebration of Constitution day. The inaugural lecture was given by Kathleen Sullivan, former dean of Stanford Law School and a renowned constitutional law scholar with many Supreme Court appearances to her credit.
While on campus Justice Kennedy visited classes and lectured as a guest. The justice and Kathleen Sullivan also held a question and answer session attended by hundreds of students. The question and answer session was lively and students described Justice Kennedy’s classroom lectures as engaging and informative.
