Announcing the Ed Brunet Professorship
December 05, 2013
This week, Lewis & Clark Law School Dean Robert Klonoff announced the establishment of an endowed professorship in honor of Professor Ed Brunet. Professor Brunet is a nationally known scholar in the areas of arbitration and pre-trial procedure, and has taught at Lewis & Clark since 1972. The inspiration for the professorship came from three alumni from the class of ‘75 who were some of Ed’s first students: Gary Grenley, Judge Julie Frantz, and Charles Markley.
Dean Klonoff was also excited to announce the inaugural Ed Brunet Professor will be Paula Abrams. Professor Abrams’ primary research areas are in constitutional law and her recent scholarship focuses on reproductive rights and population policy. She has been a Jeffrey Bain Faculty Scholar since 2009, and Professor John Parry has been selected as the new Bain Scholar.
Congratulations to Professor Brunet, whose dedication and commitment to the law school and to legal education has made this possible, and congratulations to Professors Abrams and Parry on their well-deserved recognition.
