New Director of Marketing
Caitlin Peel has been promoted to director of marketing in Lewis & Clark’s Office of Communications.
Caitlin Peel has been promoted to director of marketing in Lewis & Clark’s Office of Communications. She was first hired as the institution’s assistant director of marketing in 2015, and she was later promoted to associate director of marketing in 2019.
“Caitlin is an incredibly valuable member of the communications team, and I’m so pleased that there was an opportunity to promote her into a more significant leadership role,” Associate Vice President for Communications Stacey Kim said.
Peel attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in urban and environmental studies. During her time at Oxy, she was the creative director for a student-run literary magazine, worked with several community organizing groups, and spent some time overseas—working in Ireland for an educational development nonprofit and participating in an overseas program in South Africa focused on multiculturalism and social change.
Prior to working at Lewis & Clark, Peel was the program coordinator for a Portland renewable energy nonprofit organization, where she provided support for the editorial and design side of the organization’s strategic communications and management, among many other things.
“I’m very excited to lead the amazing marketing team in the Office of Communications and continue to collaborate with members of the L&C community on all things print, web, and social media,” Peel said.
