Antonia De Meo JD ’94
The United Nations University hosted a BIG IDEAS Dialogue in Tokyo with Antonia De Meo, UNICRI.
UNICRI is an autonomous UN research and training institute that implements research and capacity building programs in crime prevention, criminal justice, security, and the rule of law in support of peace, human rights, and sustainable development. Based in Turin, Italy, UNICRI was established in 1968. The Institute works at global, regional, and national levels with particular focus on niche and emerging issues related to its mandate.
Ms. De Meo joined the Institute as its Director in July 2020. She previously served in senior management positions for the United Nations in Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Palestine, Sri Lanka, Sudan, and Tunisia. She has worked overseas in international development and peace operations since 1999.
