Watzek Spins: Soul

This semester, Watzek Spins focuses on recordings from the ’60s-’70s soul scene that forever transformed the U.S. musical landscape. Kicking off the mix is Portland’s own Shirley Nanette, who recorded her famous collaboration with Hank Swarn, NEVER COMING BACK, at Ripcord Studios in 1972.
