Happy Spring semester to all those who celebrate!
We here in the Inclusion and Multicultural Engagement Office (IME) want to offer you some encouragement to start your semester strong. Spring symbolizes new beginnings! For some, this may mean reevaluating academic or personal goals, while for others, it may involve a complete rebranding of the self. No matter what the Spring semester brings, make sure it embodies who you truly are or want to be.
With that said, here are a few ways to get connected on campus (also a shameless plug for our office and events 😉):
- Be sure to leave room for genuine connections.
- Find a Student Org that fits you!
- Join one of IME’s “First Gen Table Talks” -all are welcome!
- Seek out impactful opportunities to learn.
- Black History Month offers a plethora of opportunities!
- Stay up to date by subscribing to our weekly newsletter!
- Test the waters in becoming a leader.
- Become a GEM Mentor or a Student Leader
- Join Heritage Month Planning Committees
We want to see you all succeed, so go out there and make this semester count! We’re all rooting for you!
Wishing you the best of luck,
Kamariah “Kai” Hammonds, Assistant Director of IME, on behalf of the IME Team
