What We’ll Cover: We’ll explore how to understand and address belonging uncertainty, design inclusive practices that support all students, and communicate your work effectively within your institutional context. The session is designed to be immediately applicable to your daily work.

Meet Your Facilitators:

Tristine Harris is an educator and program strategist with 20+ years in higher education, workforce development, and belonging work. Her experience includes working in student success at Lincoln University (PA), Morgan State University, and American University. She’s also worked for education organizations including The Washington Center and Shorelight Education. Her most recent work was with the federal government at the Office of Personnel Management’s Office of DEIA where she led the government wide DEIA learning community and spearheaded their Level Up to Public Service initiative, recruiting at MSI’s throughout the United States as well as SHRM Foundation supporting workforce development opportunities in California and Florida. She holds an MA in International Studies from Morgan State University focusing on education as a driver for economic development.

Lesley Perkins, PhD, PCC, SHRM-SCP, is an accomplished organizational effectiveness leader and certified executive coach with more than 20 years of driving performance excellence through strategic people and culture strategies and initiatives at Fortune 500 companies and federal agencies. She brings extensive experience leading cross-functional teams, managing client relationships, and building talent management capabilities across the employee life cycle. She specializes in shaping people and culture strategies that foster inclusive, engaged, and high- performing workplaces where individuals and organizations succeed together. At the heart of her work is a passion for helping leaders and organizations thrive at pivotal moments of change winning an Executive Coaching Award from CEO Today in 2022. She holds a PhD and M.Sc. in Industrial/ Organizational Psychology from University of Georgia, GA and is also a proud Howard University Alumna.
