Farewell Event for Renée Orlick and Changes in Institutional Research and Planning
Renée Orlick will step down June 5 as assistant vice president of Institutional Research and Planning in order to help care for family. Renée has been in the AVP role since 2021, having previously worked as director of Institutional Research at Lewis & Clark for eight years. She will be greatly missed by her many colleagues at L&C.
“We are particularly grateful for her collaborative spirit, involvement in the LC community, and partnerships with colleagues across campus,” Vice President, Chief of Staff, General Counsel and Board Secretary Dave Reese said.
RSVP to Attend Farewell Event
A farewell event for Renée will be held on May 14 at 3:30 p.m. on the Manor House patio (or in the Armstrong Lounge if the weather doesn’t cooperate). Please RSVP here if you are able to join us for appetizers and beverages to celebrate Renée’s service to Lewis & Clark.
Institutional Research to be Restructured
With Renée’s departure, the Office of Institutional Research will be restructured. Read McFaddin has been promoted to Director of Institutional Research. Read has served as assistant director since 2021, and also serves as the administrator of L&C’s Institutional Review Board for human subjects research. Read is a true utility infielder, regularly called upon to serve on committees, tackle difficult projects, and advance institutional priorities with keen judgment and accurate and consistent data. He also teaches regularly in the Bates Center for Entrepreneurship and Leadership.
A search for a new AVP will be launched shortly.
