Re-Energizing the West Agenda
Home | Registration | Agenda | Speakers | Sponsors | Directions
Western states are poised to play a global leadership role in clean energy development. Western governors have announced their intentions to meet the Paris Agreement goals, California may be poised to enact a 100% clean energy mandate, and technological innovations are driving down the costs of clean energy technology, making a zero-carbon energy future increasingly likely. But shifting national politics and the absence of strategic planning in the West could delay the western energy transition.
Re-Energizing the West will assess the West’s Clean Energy Future from a political, business, and policy perspective. The conference will consider the regulatory and market trends affecting clean energy development, impediments to continued growth, and the ways in which political and regulatory actors can enhance or impede the transition. It will conclude by identifying next steps to advance an inclusive clean energy transition throughout the western states.
