Each year our Business Law Luncheon not only celebrates the accomplishments of our students and business law program, but allows us to thank the many members of the community who lend their talents to our curricular and extracurricular activities. We also invite members of the broader business and legal communities to join us in our celebration, and to use it as an opportunity to reflect on the roles that businesses and business lawyers play in our state and our region. 

On behalf of the Business Law Faculty of Lewis & Clark Law School, we are pleased to invite you to join leaders of the business and legal communities and our student scholars for an exciting and engaging lunch to celebrate the tenth anniversary of our Business Law Program. 

We are very excited to announce the inauguration of what will become an annual honor, the Distinguished Business Law Graduate. This year, we will honor Wayne Perry (‘75), Chief Executive Officer of Edge Wireless LLC as our first Distinguished Business Law Graduate. Prior to his position at Edge Wireless, Mr. Perry served as Vice-Chairman of AT&T Wireless Services, and has been a leader in the wireless telecommunications industry. 

Michael Powell, President and CEO of Powell’s Books in Portland, Oregon, will be our keynote speaker. Mr. Powell has played an instrumental role in the growth of Portland’s social, political and arts communities over the last twenty-five years, and his comments are sure to be informative and inspirational.
