Speaker Series – Ryan Merkley
Laws protecting animals in laboratories are weak and poorly enforced. Yet individuals and organizations within and outside government are attempting to water down those laws even more. Meanwhile, the public is more concerned about animal welfare and more skeptical of animal experimentation than ever before. Ryan Merkley of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine will examine these issues and discuss what groups are doing to fight the current efforts to deregulate animal industries.
