Description: This course explores critical developments and bedrock themes in the burgeoning field of animal law. It primarily consists of lectures and discussions and may include topics such as newly proposed or recently passed animal protection laws, the role of animal advocacy in politics, the pandemic’s impact on different animal groups, and more. Although the course does not feature a formal paper requirement, students are expected to produce blog posts and written responses to discussion questions.

The American Bar Association accreditation standards require students to regularly attend the courses in which they are registered.
