Date: 12:00pm - 1:30pm PDT June 14 Location: Online
Carly F. Diroll-Black will present “Using Asset Forfeiture to Compensate Victims of Crime” on Thursday, June 14, 2018.
In the aftermath of crime, financial compensation is often critical to crime victims’ recovery and sometimes their survival. This training provides an overview of how remission and restoration can be a valuable source of financial recovery to victims of federal crimes where asset forfeiture has occurred. The presenter from the U.S. Department of Justice, Money Laundering and Asset Recovery Section will define and describe the procedures for obtaining compensation through forfeited property.
