Re line: PLF CLE Learning the Ropes – REGISTRATION DEADLINE NOVEMBER 1, 2018
If you are entering private practice and are looking for a CLE that shows you the nuts and bolts of practicing law in Oregon and fulfills all of your MCLE requirements, please read on:
The Professional Liability Fund is sponsoring “Learning the Ropes,” a practical skills CLE for new admittees and lawyers entering private practice. The CLE includes information on developing a successful practice and avoiding legal malpractice; practical tips from lawyers and judges; advice on setting up effective office systems; ethics tips; presentations by lawyers working in various practice settings and areas of law; and segments that fulfill your Access to Justice requirements.
Attendance at the full program will satisfy MCLE requirements for new admittees’ first reporting period. (Your MCLE reporting requirements are separate from the New Lawyer Mentoring Program [NLMP] of the Oregon State Bar.) The CLE will be held Wednesday through Friday, November 14-16, 2018, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. Your $65 registration fee includes the entire CLE and lunch on November 14 and 15. The registration deadline is November 1, 2018.
