Elizabeth Kirk, Global Professor in Global Governance & Ecological
Justice, University of Lincoln, delivers the International Law Distinguished Visitor lecture. The lecture, titled “The Case for a Plastics Treaty,” will be held in the Faculty Reading Room, March 9 at 12:10 PM.
Kirk was formerly Research Professor of International Environmental Law and co-director of the Centre for Marine Ecological Resilience and Geological Resources and a member of the Sustainable Futures interdisciplinary steering committee at Nottingham Trent University (2016-2019).
Kirk’s current research addresses complex, multi-faceted problems such as plastics pollution, energy efficiency and governance of the Arctic.
