New Professorship

Paula Abrams becomes the first Edward Brunet Professor of Law.

December 2013

Dean Bob Klonoff has announced both the full endowment of the Edward Brunet Professorship and the naming of Paula Abrams as the inaugural Edward Brunet Professor of Law. (To learn more about the history of the professorship, see “Paying Tribute to ‘Fast Eddie’” in the spring 2013 issue of Advocate Magazine.) “A professorship lasts in perpetuity and it is one of the highest academic awards that an academic institution can bestow on a faculty member,” said Klonoff. This effort to honor the esteemed teacher and scholar’s 40th anniversary with the law school was spearheaded by three of the Brunet’s first students: the Honorable Julie Frantz ’75, Gary Grenley ’75, and Charles Markley ’75.
