Dear fellow alums,
It is my honor to serve as president of the Alumni Board again this year. As we continue to grow and shape the future of the law school and alumni, we have witnessed significant growth. The purpose of the Alumni Board is to help alumni from all eras engage with the law school.
That engagement can take many forms: mentoring, helping with career services, volunteering, and supporting the law school with donations. We also serve to provide feedback to the law school about what alums are interested in and what they need.
One of the things alumni have expressed interest in is an easier way to network. We were excited to introduce a number of new networking opportunities, like trivia games and virtual happy hours. The law school also recently launched a new user-friendly online directory. If you haven’t logged in yet, contact lawalum@lclark.edu to get login information specific to you.
My vision as president of the Alumni Board is to provide a more direct link between alums and the law school. We are working on several exciting projects to further our efforts as a community on equity, diversity, and inclusion, including rolling out a DEI committee and providing learning opportunities for members of our community. It is my express goal to make the law school community welcoming and caring for all.
We also administer the Alumni Board Scholarship. It is one of my missions during my term to help double the amount administered to enrolled students through the fund.
We are also thrilled to be hosting the Distinguished Honors Dinner this year on February 5, 2022, if we can do so safely.
Anyone interested in joining the Alumni Board should reach out to me directly at bradley.krupicka@lewisbrisbois.com.

From the Dean
Speaking with students is one of my favorite parts of being dean. At Lewis & Clark Law School, I’ve discovered a rare and powerful combination: students who pair fierce dedication to their mission with deep collaboration and a genuine commitment to each other’s success.

Beyond the Bar
Most graduates of law school go on to practice law, working in law firms or providing legal counsel to organizations and businesses. Yet, for some, the lessons of law apply more broadly, and the outcome of their law school education has been a surprising and successful career outside of law. Here are just a few of our alums who followed an alternative route.
