Two more professors join prestigious American Law Institute
Profs Samir Parikh and Juliet Stumpf join the ALI as two of its newest members.
Lewis & Clark Law School is pleased to report that Professor Samir Parikh and Professor Juliet Stumpf have been named the newest members of the American Law Institute (ALI), the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and otherwise improve the law.
The two Lewis & Clark professors join ten other U.S. law professors in the total of thirty-one new members named.
Both Parikh and Stumpf are nationally recognized experts in their fields of law. Parikh’s scholarship is centered around the issues of mass tort restructurings and business reorganizations. Stumpf is an immigration scholar best known for her work on crimmigration law, the intersection of immigration and criminal law.
“Both Samir and Juliet have made major scholarly contributions to their legal fields,” said Lewis & Clark Dean Jennifer Johnson. “The invitation to join ALI is a tangible recognition of their ongoing work.”
Parikh and Stumpf join their seven law faculty colleagues at Lewis & Clark as ALI members: John Bogdanski, William Funk, Jennifer J. Johnson, Robert H. Klonoff, Lydia Pallas Loren, James M. Oleske, Jr., and John T. Parry.
