Robin McGinnis Hennessy ’10

Robin McGinnis Hennessy ’10 has worked as an environmental attorney for the State of California in Sacramento since 2013 and previously worked at an insurance coverage firm in San Francisco. Her work at the California Department of Water Resources is focused on FERC compliance and relicensing, climate change, and CEQA compliance. She also worked on environmental cleanup cases under state and federal superfund laws at the California Department of Toxic Substances Control. Before law school, she worked for a consulting company on environmental cleanup cases. She also spent three summers working in the backcountry of Yosemite National Park.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in German and International Relations from the University of California at Davis. She earned a Juris Doctor degree and environmental law certificate from Lewis & Clark Law School.

Born and raised in San Francisco, she is a huge fan of the Giants and Forty-Niners. She enjoys spending time with her husband, mom, dog, and three cats, going to Sacramento Rivercats games, and hitting the road with her husband and dog in their travel trailer.
