Six students served as last summer’s Lezak Fellows, working with immigrants, refugees, and other vulnerable and underserved community members.

Six students, Parker Brocker-Knapp ’27, Grace Elkhal ’27, Brisa Franco ’27, Brian Liu ’27, Peren Tiemann ’27, and Amanda Lee ’26, served as last summer’s Lezak Fellows, working with immigrants, refugees, and other vulnerable and underserved community members.

Brocker-Knapp and Elkhal served SOAR Immigration Legal Services, Elkhal as the clinic’s sole Arabic speaker. Franco was with the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO). Lee clerked for the Northwest Workers’ Justice Project (NWJP). Liu was a research and writing intern with the Multnomah Defenders Inc. Tiemann clerked for the Oregon Law Center (OLC).

The Lezak Social Justice Fellowship honors the legacy of beloved attorney Sid Lezak, awarding students committed to community service and justice with stipends and supporting them with mentorship as well as community service placements.
