Waller, Ms. Adele A.

Adele A. Waller is in the Chicago office of Barnes & Thornburg, LLP where she practices in the Healthcare Department. Ms. Waller has counseled healthcare entities for more than 20 years on business, tax, and regulatory issues and has been nationally recognized for her work in health information technology law. In her general health law practice, Ms. Waller represents healthcare clients in a variety of corporate transactions and contractual arrangements. She advises clients on corporate compliance, directing legal risk assessments, and internal corporate investigations.

Ms. Waller has served on the Board of Directors of the American Health Lawyers Association and as President of the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys. She has lectured and published nationally on health law and health information technology topics. Ms. Waller has served on the adjunct faculty of the graduate bio-informatics program at the University of Illinois-Chicago and has taught health law at Loyola University Chicago School of Law. She is currently a member of an institutional review board and has served on a hospital board. Ms. Waller received a BA with honors from Andrews University and an MA from Northwestern University. She earned her JD, magna cum laude, from Lewis & Clark Law School in 1985.
