Meyer Memorial Trust Awards Transformative Grant to SBLC

The Meyer Memorial Trust has made a generous three-year grant to the Small Business Legal Clinic at Lewis & Clark Law School

The Meyer Memorial Trust has made a generous three-year grant of $200,000 to the Small Business Legal Clinic. This grant will enable the SBLC to meet the growing demand for legal services from small businesses in the Portland Metropolitan area, as well as reach out to new communities in Oregon. It is anticipated that the SBLC will double the number of small and emerging business clients served annually. In addition to legal counseling, the SBLC will expand their outreach to local microenterprise and business development organizations through seminars on relevant legal issues for small businesses.

The Small Business Legal Clinic is funded by Lewis & Clark Law School, the Portland Development Commission, law firms, businesses, and individuals. Additional contributions are being raised to augment the grant from Meyer Memorial Trust to completely fund this initiative. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please donate here.
