Description: This faculty-directed reading group will meet once a week to discuss cutting-edge topics in criminal law and procedure. Readings will be provided by a faculty member for each class, and each student will be required to present the topic and lead the discussion for one class. Evaluation will be based on attendance, class participation, and fulfillment of the presentation requirement.
The class is credit/no credit. The class does not count toward the Criminal Law Certificate.
Prerequisite: Criminal Law I (LAW-148) or Criminal Procedure I (LAW-017)

The American Bar Association accreditation standards require students to regularly attend the courses in which they are registered. Lewis & Clark expects students to attend classes regularly and to prepare for classes conscientiously. Specific attendance requirements may vary from course to course. Any attendance guidelines for a given class must be provided to students in a syllabus or other written document at the start of the semester. Sanctions (e.g., required withdrawal from the course, grade adjustment, and/or a failing grade) will be imposed for poor attendance.
