Ally McLain ’18

Ally K. McLain ’18 is an associate attorney at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP and advises and represents employers in a wide range of labor and employment matters arising under both state and federal laws. Prior to working at Lewis Brisbois, Ally spent over three years practicing workers’ compensation defense at Reinisch Wilson Weier PC.

During law school, Ally gained practical work experience as a law clerk for Bonneville Power Administration for two years. She also worked as a legal intern for NAVEX Global where she compiled, organized, and analyzed contracts. Ally loved her experience at Lewis & Clark Law School and got involved by becoming a lead articles editor on the Lewis & Clark Law Review, a board member for the Business Law Society, and volunteered at the Low Income Bankruptcy Clinic and Low Income Taxpayer Clinic.

Prior to law school, Ally obtained a Bachelor of Science in Food Science & Technology and initially began her career as a quality supervisor in a granola/snack bar manufacturing facility. It was this experience that caused her to pursue a legal career in order to provide guidance to employers at a higher level. She appreciates the privilege of being able to have a career in the law and wants to be a resource for others with the same goal.

On her free time, Ally loves spending time with her friends and family, including her husband, two children, and cat. If she had more free time, she would love to bake and train for long-distance running.
