Marcel Andre Green is an attorney specializing in the intersection of U.S. and Chinese criminal law. Recently, he has explored how artificial intelligence shapes criminal justice systems in both countries.


Marcel previously directed International Bridges to Justice in Wuhan, supporting legal aid groups in Southeast China. Earlier, he was a public defender with the Northwest Defenders Association in Seattle, representing clients in criminal cases from arraignment through appeals.


Marcel holds a JD from Lewis & Clark Law School, an MA in International Policy Studies (Chinese Studies) from Middlebury Institute of International Studies, and a BA in Government from Pomona College. Fluent in English and Mandarin, he advises on comparative criminal justice policy, algorithmic governance, content moderation regimes, and cultural regulation.
