Technical Assistance to Make Rights Meaningful

For the past two years, NCVLI has provided technical assistance to a collaborative in Arizona working to increase expert legal services for crime victims. We recently assisted in a domestic violence case in which the judge barred the victim’s response to the defendant’s motion to dismiss, reasoning Arizona’s victims’ right to be heard did not include being heard on the motion practice. Working with victim’s counsel, NCVLI supported an effort for further review.  The case is pending; check back for updates!

NCVLI is excited to be a part of this cutting edge project in Arizona and our team can provide the same specialized assistance in any jurisdiction.  Fill out a technical assistance request to get assistance.
