Join us for an afternoon of discussion on the intersection between animals and trade. The Symposium will address the animal related issues embedded in U.S. and international trade regulations, with emphases on CITES, the TPP, and horse related issues. Our speakers will include:

  • Scott Beckstead: Oregon State Director, The Humane Society of the United States
  • Charlotte Blattner: Ph.D Candidate, Law Faculty, University of Basel, Switzerland
  • Maria Kalinina: International Trade Policy Specialist, Humane Society International
  • Myanna Dellinger: Associate Professor of Law, University of South Dakota School of Law
  • Erica Lyman: Clinical Professor of Law, International Environmental Law, Lewis & Clark Law School

CLE credits will be available. Professors Steve Johansen and Russ Mead will teach a 1 credit Ethics course at the end of the Symposium.
