Rob Bovett currently serves as Legal Counsel for the Association of Oregon Counties, where he advocates for Oregon’s 36 counties in all three branches of government. His prior work experience includes serving as the elected District Attorney for Lincoln County, and before that as a county counsel, judicial clerk, and legislative counsel. Areas of particular experience include drug policy, constitutional law, criminal law and procedure, home rule and municipal law, and legislative drafting. His career has focused heavily on creating and implementing diversionary programs in the criminal justice system for people suffering from substance abuse or behavioral health issues.
