Minta Hicks Newell Memorial Scholarship

Established in memory of Minta Hicks Newell by her son, Professor Doug Newell, this scholarship is awarded to students who plan to pursue careers in business law and are in their last year of law school.

Minta Hicks Newell was incredibly passionate about education and, though she was not able to earn a college degree because of her family duties, she ensured that her children received every educational opportunity available to them.
