Learon John Bird graduated from the University of Washington in 2006 with a degree in business administration, with a dual emphasis in finance and accounting. From there, he attended the University of Pennsylvania Law School. After graduating in 2009, Learon began his legal practice in Wilmington Delaware, where he handled litigation matters involving finance, mergers & acquisitions, corporate formation, bankruptcy and employment.

After returning to the pacific northwest, Learon joined the consulting practice at Bates Group. He is now a Managing Consultant at Bates Group, primarily supporting Bates Group’s Securities Litigation Practice.

At Bates Group, Learon regularly handles matters involving SEC regulatory actions, FINRA arbitrations, Federal and State litigation, and internal investigations. He provides expert witness services, from writing expert reports to testifying under oath. He has presented multiple CLEs and authored numerous white papers.
