Eric Sugarman is a 3L interested in both environmental and animal law. He was born and raised in North Carolina and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Sustainability and Geography. Upon graduation, he spent several years apprenticing with regenerative farmers across the United States in pursuit of a more intimate relationship with the art and practice of land stewardship. These experiences crystallized his conviction that we must address the myriad issues inherent in our food system if we are to achieve transition to a sustainable, equitable, and just future. Outside of his legal education, Eric loves rock climbing, trail running, playing music and cooking for and with friends.
