Biography

Greg Keenan is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law teaching Lawyering I and II.

Prior to joining Lewis & Clark Law School, Professor Keenan practiced as a litigator at the nonprofit law firm the Digital Justice Foundation (DJF), with a particular focus on copyright law. In that capacity, he spearheaded the DJF’s nationwide appellate practice, briefing dozens of cases before the various Federal Courts of Appeals. During that time, he had the privilege of personally arguing numerous appeals before the First, Second, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth and D.C. Circuits.

In addition to his advocacy with the DJF, Professor Keenan served as a Digital Ethics Fellow at the Jain Family Institute, where he researched emerging issues involving algorithmic discrimination and worked with New York City’s Automated Decision Systems Task Force.

Professor Keenan received his JD from Stanford Law School and a BA in philosophy from Claremont McKenna College.

He is excited to be joining Lewis & Clark Law School’s vibrant community and beautiful campus. And he looks forward to sharing his passion for the skill and art of legal advocacy with the next generation of lawyers.
