2024 Lezak Social Justice Fellows Named
The Lezak Social Justice Fellowship awards summer stipends to law students, motivating them to contribute to the Oregon community while offering mentorship and support. In 2024, four outstanding students—Elaine Morado ’26, Tanner Condit ’25, Stephanie Scheno ’25, and Zoe Fielden ’26—have been chosen as fellows.
Jo Perini-Abbott Accepts IAALS Rebuilding Justice Award on Behalf of Oregon Task Force
The Institute for the Advancement of the American Legal System (IAALS) recognizes the Task Force, chaired by Perini-Abbott, for “its role in catalyzing the national conversation around licensure reform.”
Oregon Law Schools Collaborate on Innovative Tenant Eviction Defense Class
Lewis & Clark Law School, University of Oregon School of Law, and Willamette University College of Law collaborated in Spring 2023 to create an innovative tenant rights course, hosting students from all three law schools. This spring 2024, they’ll do it again.
Data Analysis by Law Students Helps Secure Victory for Disability Rights Oregon
In connection with their work with Disability Rights Oregon and the Criminal Justice Reform Clinic, 3L students Jemma Pritchard and Christa Doerbeck analyzed data related to fitness to proceed orders, leading to more equitable criminal justice procedures for houseless and disabled people in Oregon.

The Public Interest Law Project will host its 26th annual benefit auction at the law school on Saturday, February 11, 2017. Proceeds benefit public interest organizations, attorneys and clerks through PILP’s Summer Stipend Program. Proceeds also benefit recently graduated public interest attorneys through the Loan Repayment Assistance Program.
Public Interest Law is located in Gantenbein on the Law Campus.
