Summer 2026 Courses

The table below provides the general date range for courses. Summer courses may vary each week, so you MUST check Self-Service to see the EXACT dates on which class will be held. Visiting students may use public-viewable catalog. To do so, select “Law - Summer 2026” as the Term and “Law” as the Subject.

SUMMER EXAMS

Read the Summer 2026 Exams CAREFULLY! Summer School exam dates vary depending on the specific course. You are responsible for being aware of potential exam dates when you register for courses. The last potential exam date in Session I is June 26, 2026. The last potential exam date in Session II is August 3, 2026. Do not make travel plans without knowing when your last exam may be.

Notes:

• Check Self-Service for the most up to date schedule information.
• Enrollment for Food Law and Law & Ethics of Animal Testing is restricted to Animal Law LLM and MSL students only. Seats in these sections may open for JD students on or after April 1. For questions about these courses please contact Program Director Raj Reddy, rajreddy@lclark.edu.
• Lewis & Clark law students can register directly through Self-Service. Visiting students and auditors must submit a registration form and a $150 non-refundable deposit to the Registrar’s office. For more information please visit registration and application requirements.
• Online courses taken in the summer count towards the 12 credit distance learning credit maximum for JD students. The full Distance Learning Policy is available here. Please note that part-time students with 1L requirements remaining can take online summer courses and use them towards their degree requirements.
