Law Review Registration Form

All students registered for law reviews in Fall will receive an XT grade for Fall no matter how many credits they allocate as law review is a year-long commitment and no final grade will be issued until Spring is completed.

If this is your first year earning academic credit on a Law Review, then you should select Associate Editor. If this is your second year earning academic credit on a Law Review, then you should select Editorial Board. NOTE: Internal Law Review titles may differ and not be exactly the same as the Law Review course registration title. All submissions will be confirmed with the relevant Editor in Chief.

Law Review Credits

Students in their first year earning academic credit on Law Review may earn up to 2 credits. Students in their second year earning academic credit on Law Review may earn up to 4 credits, unless they are either an Editor in Chief or hold a certain editorial position in which case they may earn up to 6 credits.

Standard Law Review registration is to split the credits evenly between semesters. You may choose to front-load credits into the Fall semester, but you MUST have the approval of your Editor in Chief. You may also choose to back-load credits into the Spring semester.

NOTE: All students choosing to register any credits in the Fall semester will receive a grade of XT for the Fall semester until successfully completing all Law Review responsibilities for both Fall and Spring semesters.

Law Review Credit Distribution*
If you choose to front-load or back-load, then you MUST specify how you want the credits distributed. e.g. 2 credits in Fall, 0 in Spring; 0 in Fall, 2 in Spring (students in their 1st year of earning academic Law Review credits). 3 credits in Fall, 1 credit in Spring; 4 credits in Fall, 0 credits in Spring (students in 2nd year of earning academic Law Review credit). This information will be confirmed with your Editor in Chief.
