Lifetime Service Award given to Professor Emeritus Ron Lansing and Jewell Lansing

The U.S. District Court of Oregon Historical Society has selected Jewel and Ron Lansing as the 2016 Lifetime Service Award recipients.
Lewis & Clark Law Professor Emeritus Ron Lansing has influenced thousands of lives in Oregon’s legal community, as a teacher, lawyer, and scholar. He has published several works on law school history and historic legal events. Jewel Lansing, the first woman elected to office in Multnomah County and the fifth to serve as an elected Portland city official, has published several books on topics including women campaigning for office and the histories of Portland and Multnomah County. Jewel and Ron will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in June.
An award ceremony will be held at the Sentinel for an evening of celebration, entertainment, and socializing on Thursday, November 3, 2016 beginning at 5:30 PM.
