Ed Brunet Scholarship

In 2019, Lewis & Clark Law School established the Ed Brunet Scholarship to honor the legacy of professor Ed Brunet, who passed away in 2018.

Brunet was a respected and beloved professor at the law school and was awarded the Leo Levenson Award for Excellence in Teaching three times. His rapid-fire delivery as a professor earned him the nickname “Fast Eddie.” In addition to his teaching, Brunet was a nationally renown scholar in the areas of arbitration and pre-trial procedure. He was also known for being an exceptionally kind and compassionate human.

The Ed Brunet Scholarship is awarded annually to an entering 1L student who has a demonstrated interest in one or more of the following:

  • Trial Advocacy
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution
  • Energy Law
  • Business Law
