William Reilly Animal Protection Scholarship

The William Reilly Animal Protection Scholarship is awarded annually to one or more entering students in the Animal Law LLM or MSL advanced degree programs, offered both in person and online. The scholarship supports students pursuing careers that advance animal protection through law, policy, education, and advocacy.

Established in loving memory of William Reilly by his family, this endowed scholarship honors his lifelong compassion for animals and his deep affection for his companion animals, whose stories he shared often and fondly. The scholarship reflects the empathy, respect, and care for animals that defined William Reilly’s life and the legacy he leaves behind. This scholarship stands as a lasting tribute to William Reilly’s love for animals and the values he inspired in those around him, while strengthening the mission of the Center for Animal Law Studies to create a more just and compassionate world for animals.
