Biography

Professor Felstiner practiced with the law firm of Cable Huston in Portland, Oregon, for over fourteen years, representing businesses in transactional and litigation matters. Professor Felstiner counseled clients on entity selection and formation, entity dissolution and employment practices. She also represented clients in the negotiation of contracts and resolution of employment, construction and real estate disputes. Fluent in Spanish, Professor Felstiner’s practice emphasized representing the Latino business community.

Prior to joining Cable Huston, Professor Felstiner worked as a Deputy District Attorney in Marion County, Oregon, and served on the Oregon District Attorney Association Legislative Committee.

Professor Felstiner is committed to mentoring and supporting law students entering the legal profession.  She is a founding member and former officer of the Oregon Hispanic Bar Association and a member of Oregon Women Lawyers.

Professor Felstiner is dedicated to assisting low-income small businesses obtain and maintain economic stability through the provision of low cost transactional legal services.  She is a frequent speaker to business organizations and small business owners in English and Spanish.  She has consulted internationally on promoting economic development through the model of the small business legal clinic.
