Certificates and Optional Curriculum

Lewis & Clark Law School awards certificates to qualified JD students who concentrate their studies in a specified subject area. The links below describe the specific requirements for each certificate and the required documentation that must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office by October 31st for a January graduation date or February 1st for a May graduation date. The certificate is awarded only in conjunction with successful completion of the JD program and cannot be obtained separately.

To obtain a certificate, students must earn an average GPA of at least 3.00 in all courses uses to satisfy the certificate requirements. Students who earn a GPA of 3.67 or higher will receive their certificate “with distinction.”
