NCVLI Staff Profile: Ellen Dully

NCVLI Staff Profile: Ellen Dully

NCVLI welcomed Ellen Dully as the new Director of Administration & Operations in April 2018. You can read Ellen’s biography on our staff page or read on to hear her own words.

Why did you first get interested in working with NCVLI and victims’ rights?

I am committed to improving the health and well-being of my community and recognize the systemic injustices that exist which create and perpetuate conditions that sustain inequity. As I have dedicated my career to working in service to marginalized communities, I was drawn to NCVLI and their mission to actively promote balance and fairness in the justice system through crime victim centered legal advocacy, education, and resource sharing.

As an organization what is NCVLI’s greatest strength?

The strength of NCVLI rests in its vision to enhance fairness and justice for victims through social change. The smart and talented staff at NCVLI are dedicated to this purpose, and they work very, very hard to make a positive impact through legal advocacy, training & education, and public policy.

What are your hobbies?

My hobbies include cooking, traveling, reading, doing yoga, and taking walks with my friends accompanied by my Boston Terrier named Champion.

Who or what inspires you?

I am inspired by community building. I envision a culture where everyone can thrive by celebrating our differences and working together to overcome that which might divide us.
