Maggie is the Deputy Chief Counsel at the Environmental Defense Center located in Santa Barbara, Ca, where she focuses on litigation and advocacy on behalf of nonprofit organizations. Her work includes protecting wildlife and open space, coast and ocean resources, and clean water. Before joining EDC in 2014, she did a legal fellowship at Los Angeles Waterkeeper upon graduating from Lewis & Clark Law School. During law school, she participated in the environmental and animal law moot court programs and Earthrise Law Clinic. She also held clerkships with the Northwest Environmental Defense Center and Earthjustice. In her free time, Maggie loves to enjoy the great outdoors with her family.

I’m incredibly grateful to work to protect a beautiful region of central California coastline, and to call this special place home. I still constantly use skills I learned at Lewis & Clark in my day-to-day case work, especially the advocacy I learned in moot court.
